about

New anthems for new dreamers. Future Primitives blaze new paths of pop art iconoclasm.
Hailing from the Magic City, a place of working class realism that can only be counterbalanced by self invention and personal mythology.
Future Primitives play Rock and Roll- a primitive music- raw, guttural, soulful, and older than time itself- the perfect vehicle for future explorations and evolutions.
Capturing the cosmic swoon between existential horror and wide eyed wonder that typifies a life changing psychedelic experience. Future Primitives are the heretics that refuse to be burned at the stake of the punk rock funeral pyre.
In the words of the great comic-philosopher Bill Hicks, Future Primitives "play from their fucking heart."

FUTURE PRIMITIVES RELEASE NEW ALBUM
"WE JAM APOLLO" MARCH 26TH

On March 26th Birmingham, Alabama's Future Primitives are set to release their
sophomore album "We Jam Apollo". It's the follow up to their debut release
"Erase The Future and Hope for Now".

Recorded at Azul Effects, the studio owned by bassist and engineer Lane Smith
and produced by the band, the album is a tighter more concise and focused effort
than their debut while still retaining the emphasis on heavy riffs and infectious
melody.

The ten song album clocks in at a breezy 40 minutes and from the ebullient power
pop of the title track to the sublime balladry of "Tiffany's Epiphany" or the acid
drenched heaviness of "Black Iron Prison" sounds like a greatest hits package from
a mysterious band you've never heard of.
